The cutting tools in our equipment are made of T15M material. This material is carefully selected for its composition, which ensures that the blades can cut 10 million pieces before requiring sharpening. It is worth mentioning that all our high-speed sanitary napkin products, including the cotton core cutters and die cutters, are made using T15M material.

   

By using T15M material for our cutting tools, we can guarantee the longevity and efficiency of our equipment, even when operating at high speeds. This ensures that our cutting tools remain sharp for a longer period, without compromising the quality and precision of the final product.

Chemical Composition Of t15m High-speed Steel:

 

1- Carbon content

The carbon content of T15M HSS is usually between 1.3% and 1.5%, and carbon is one of the main alloying elements in HSS. The right amount of carbon can improve high-speed steel’s hardness and wear resistance, making it suitable for cutting tools and other high-intensity working environments. However, excessive carbon content can lead to increased brittleness of HSS, affecting its toughness and strength.

2- Chromium content

The chromium content of T15M HSS is usually between 3.8% and 4.5%. Chromium can improve the hardness and corrosion resistance of high-speed steel to maintain stable performance at high temperatures and corrosive environments. At the same time, chromium can also form hard carbides with carbon, enhancing the wear resistance and cutting performance of high-speed steel.

3- Tungsten content

The tungsten content in T15M high-speed steel is usually between 12.5% and 13.5%. Tungsten is an important alloying element in high-speed steel, which can significantly improve the wear resistance and hot hardness of high-speed steel. Tungsten can form stable carbides with carbon, molybdenum, and other elements to prevent the movement of grain boundaries and improve strength and hardness at high temperatures.

4- Molybdenum content

The molybdenum content in T15M high-speed steel is usually between 1.5% and 2.5%. Molybdenum can improve the hot hardness and heat resistance of high-speed steel so that it maintains high hardness and strength at high temperatures. Molybdenum is also able to form hard carbides with carbon, improving the wear resistance and cutting properties of HSS.

5- Titanium content

The titanium content in T15M high-speed steel is usually between 0.3% and 0.5%. Titanium can improve the strength and heat resistance of high-speed steel but is also able to refine the grain and improve the plasticity and toughness of high-speed steel. Titanium can also form nitrides with nitrogen, further improving the hardness and wear resistance of HSS.

6- Other alloying elements

T15M high-speed steel also contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and other elements. Silicon can improve the hot hardness and corrosion resistance of high-speed steel; manganese can improve the strength and toughness of high-speed steel; phosphorus can improve the cutting performance of high-speed steel; sulphur can improve the cutting performance and machining performance of high-speed steel.

The chemical composition of T15M high-speed steel has an important influence on its performance. Reasonable control of the content of carbon, chromium, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, and other elements can make the high-speed steel have excellent hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, and cutting performance, suitable for a variety of high-intensity working environments. In practical application, it is also necessary to select and adjust the alloying elements according to specific requirements to meet the needs of different working conditions.
